Mom, I love you. I used to be afraid of mountains because I thought they would take you from me forever. But with distance I am so grateful for the gifts you have given me. You taught me how to pee outside, how to set up a tent and cook with a camp stove, how to spend hours playing in the snow, what a feminist looks like.
May we all have the courage to turn towards the things we deeply love.
