Support This: A Film on the Rio Grande by Braxton Barden

Hi beautiful people!

My friend Braxton Barden is a super-talented photographer who is about to make a video on the Lower Canyons of the Rio Grande.

Toss a buck his way if you can. This film will be gorgeous.

I met Brax in August 2013 when he was working as a river guide at Quapaw Canoe Company in Mississippi  — I stumbled into Quapaw on my first solo bike trip and found myself among an oasis of water people who make their own dugout canoes and lead guided trips on the Mississippi and Sunflower rivers.

The second time I passed through Mississippi (September / October 2014), I went on a river trip with Quapaw. We paddled for two days and slept on a sandbar. Brax made the most amazing ginger tea and took this photo of me jumping. Some experiences are so wonderful that they make me want to dance.

Then Brax gave me advice about how to photograph the moon, which I have since forgotten.

Here’s a post I wrote on this blog about part of that trip down the Mississippi: https://onebikeoneyear.wordpress.com/2014/11/14/wilderness/

tl;dr — there are 3 days to go. I believe in this project.

Go Brax!
